Skilling Youth for Charity
At Green Collar Housing, we believe that affordable housing begins with skilled people. Our Youth Skilling Programme equips young, rehabilitated youth from city suburbs with practical construction skills while giving them real experience on active building sites.
Through our hands-on "learn by doing" approach, trainees work alongside experienced supervisors and gain industry-ready skills that prepare them for employment, self-employment, and entrepreneurship in the construction sector. Practical, work-based construction training is widely recognized as an effective way to improve employability and create sustainable livelihoods.

National Certification
We also prepare trainees for a national certificate offered by The Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB). UVTAB conducts non-formal and informal assessments in construction through:
Modular evaluations
- Worker's PAS (Practical Skills Acquisition / Atypical Assessment)
- Occupational Levels I–IV
These programs evaluate practical competencies learned on the job rather than through traditional classroom instruction.
